I really need help urgently with a network that uses XP Server 2008 R2 and Linux.
The client XP prints to the Windows Print Server 2008 R2 which then passes the job to the print queue on Linux 3.2.15 Feroda 10.
When I print from the Server the job passes as seen in tail –f /var/log/tenix/audit_fta.log. However when I try to print from client it errors on the server. I have established that all I need to do is disable “digitally sign communication” and the job happily passes. But this is not an option I am allowed to use. It needs to be enabled.
At the moment this is just replicated in my test environment before going live. However the interesting thing is, the exact same policy is applied on the current network Server 2003, the only thing different is Server 2008 R2 must handle the packets differently. I really need to know the cmd I need to apply to the smb.config to enable this to work, and possibly I might just get me a big thank you.
Every time I try to search this it just says “disable” I cant this is not an option. Now it might be a cmd, it might be I need to upgrade Linux, either way I just need help please.
