hi guys, i am relatively new to linux. Had orginally started on ubuntu then after learning the basics briefly had got on sabayon (gentoo) based. Had no problems what so ever, yes it was a bit more complicated in installing my printer but i eventually got round it. BUT then my video editing programs seemed to crash and not recognise any videos whilst vlc did. WEIRD???

ANY WAYS, I MOVED TO MINT 10 NOW ON KDE, AND I WAS ASSUMING A SIMPLY LINUX OS BUT WHEN INSTALLED THE TOUCHPAD IS NOT RECOGNISED. UNDER SYSTEM SETTINGS - TOUCHPAD - IT STATES NO DRIVER RECOGNISED. I HAVE A SONY VAIO - COULD SOMEBODY BE EVER SO KIND AND HELP WITH THIS LITTLE ISSUE. MANY THANKS
michaelk
