Hello,
I am urgently looking for help because I inserted a disk but it won't come out. It is not displayed in the places menu and I don't know what to do. The disk is the first Mac OS X install disc. I inserted it and then rebooted, nothing happened but now I can't get it out anymore.

(I own a mac but recently downloaded Ubuntu onto it. I messed up the partitions so my mac stuff got deleted and now I only have Ubuntu left on it. I thought I'd try to reinstall mac os x leopard and then partition the hard drive so both operating systems could run on it)

Thank you to anyone that's willing to help!!!!!

This is a step-by-step on how to force eject a disc from a Mac.

Get a piece of paper to write this down.

1. Turn off Mac.
2. Turn on Mac. While turning on press Right Click until Disc comes out or login screen comes up.

That was Plan A. If that didn't work try Plan B

Plan B

1. Restart Computer. While restarting hold down [Option]
2. Hold it down until Startup Disk appears.
3. When it appears, let go of [Option] and press [Eject]

so did you try the posted procedure
cha
Try to restart your computer if disk is still not ejecting and try to eject while it's powering down and also when it's powering up. It usually works.
Or turn computer off and you can use the tiny hole at the front of the drive with a straightened paperclip to manually eject CD.
