I have ubuntu installed. everything worked fine and then suddenly my sound card would not see any input from my sound card. It plays ok though. But won't see my mic input.
If I start windows it works fine, so it's not a hardware problem.

I went through all of the setting I could see and nothing will fix it.

Have you recently made any changes to your system?
All mixer settings have been checked?

This happened a while back...a few months ago. May have been a system update.
I played with the mixer several times with no luck.
