Full Version: run without original cd
Linuxhelp > Support > Technical Support

I've tried the search-function, but I couldn't find what I was looking for. I apologize if I somehow overlooked it.

My problem: I installed a program from a cd. I used wine to run it under Ubuntu, because the program was made for windows. So far, no unsolved problems. The thing is that the program only wants to run when the original disk is inserted in the computer. That would be ok if I was the only one in my house that wants to use it. Do I have to buy an extra copy to be able to run it at 2 computers at the same time?

Thank you for reading my question!
My first thought would be that a duplicate copy would work.
