Hi is

hi! am having trouble with a new install of Pink Tie Linux 8 which i just installed even tho i purchassed it some time ago. when i turn on the computer it asks for a username, i did not enter a username when i set it up in the machine. so i pressed enter, it asked for for a pass word. it asks for the pass word which i did set up. i press enter and get an error message. how do i start linux? i know this seems simple but i cannot figure this out!
Hi, from what I've learned Pink Tie is just a free Red Hat Enterprise with red hats updates similar to CentOS and whitebox, The GUI Based installer should have asked you at one point to set up a user account for the system as well as asking for a root password. root being the administrator account in Linux. If you didn't possibly set a password for your account it should have asked you for a user name for a account that may work withough a password if you didn't set one. You may have to reinstall it again and double check your settings. Its rare to have a Linux system thats password less.
