Full Version: Newbie in deep trouble: can't boot after changing something in xor
Linuxhelp > Support > Technical Support

I was fiddling with settings for TwinView in the xorg.conf file, and now I can't boot (using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5). My screens just go blank after running through the boot process.

Any advice on how I can fix this problem would be GREATLY appreciated.

Boot using the install media into rescue mode, mount the hard drive partitions and undo the changes you made to the xorg.conf file.

Assuming this is a legit copy you should be able to call Redhat support and get some help using rescue mode.
