Full Version: Ls Page Option?

I run into quite a predicament when working on the console (outside of X). When I do ls in my downloads directory, I can't see everything in there because I have too many files. I was wondering if there is an option for ls kind of like in dos with dir /p, which will display the files one page at a time.

Thanks,
Eric

ls |more

This means that the output of ls is piped to the program "more" which allows for what you need.

As well, in the linux console you can press "Shift+PgUp" to scroll up the console buffer a tiny bit in case you forgot to do the above.
