I've been using MEPIS (Ubuntu 6.06 Dapper) for a while as a desktop pc which has replaced Windows Vista! I am completely over the moon with joy of using linux as so far everything I could ever want to do with the computer using Windows i've managed to do using linux, even if after a while of trying to configure a little...
My question is, I have a network server, using Windows server... and in one network folder I have all my digital camera photos. hundreds and hundreds.
On windows, if i browsed that folder, firstly i used to get thumbnails of the images as icons, and if I clicked one image, it would load it directly into the windows default image viewer which would allow me to then scroll through all the images in that folder.
on linux, i havent found anything that will browse the network folder and view images without first having to copy them across to the pc that has linux on.
Has anyone got any suggestions as to a program that will do exactly what windows image viewer used to do for me?
Please help, hundreds of photo's depend on the answer!!!!
Thanks... Christian.
