I'm new to linux and I wanted to learn more about it. I was told to check out knoppix. I found website site and I followed the intructions for running Knoppix off of a flash drive at http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2007/01/01/usb-knoppix-510 . I successfully installed the files needed in the pen drive and make it bootable. But when I make the set the computer to boot from the usb storage, I get

"Could not find kernel image : linux
boot: "

is there command that I need to include at the prompt? I did everything that was instructed.

Pleas help.

Thanks

Booting from USB stick is a bit hit and miss - If you can, try a live CD instead - They run a little slower but are generally more reliable. It looks like either your installation isn't all there, or your boot loader is having trouble actually accessing the usb drive.
