I am completly new to using this format and even more confused as to go about downloading the Java plugin and the Linux-capable Soulseek, 'Nicotine'.
I'm used to using the 'user-friendly' windows XP and downloading software was as easy as a couple left-clicks.
WTF do I do?

We need more info - Which distribution are you using? What exactly are you trying to achieve? What have you tried? What (if any) problems have you encountered?

(I have no more clue what a Soulseek is than you have about installing java)
