hi, love the site, but let me get down to buisness.

basicly, i have a linux box on my network (that has no access to the net), and i use it as a test box for php scripts, and the like, ok, so, what i want to do, is set up ftp so i can simply login and be able to modify everything under /var/www/html/, i've tried by using lots of how-to's and guides and such, but havent been able for it to work properly sad.gif

any suggestions would help. Thanks.
There is a guide on this site.
You can get to it here
yes, i followed that, but it didnt help me in the slightest sad.gif

i want to be able to login as root, if possible.
you can NOT login as root to an ftp server...
you have to be a regular user
why do you want to login as root to an ftp server for?
to get access to everything without hassle
you can access without any problems if you
create another regular user correctly
but you can not what so ever ftp as root
thanks for the help anyways
