copy/paste does not work on dev directory. Suse tries to find modem driver on devusb. i try to copy/paste the driver from dev to devusb and does not work. any help will be appreciated.

The /dev directory doesn't actually contain any files, it contains device nodes. And no, you cannot copy and paste these to different directories, they don't work like that. In order for you to create a new device node, you have to either use the mknod command (man mknod) or you can use the MAKEDEV script in the /dev directory.
