Hi smile.gif
Iím a newbie to Linux! I just downloaded SUSE Linux and installed it running with the GNOME desktopÖ..But sadly being a windows user for 7 odd years is showing its signs! I can hardly figure anything out! Trial and error seems to be the way forward thought.

I would use some of the online tutorials etc. to make a start but have encountered 2 problems
1. I canít figure out how to install my wireless USB adapter
2. Most of the tutorials I come across are for more experienced users sad.gif sad.gif

If anyone can provide information on how best to start learning Linux and also how to configure the wireless adapter I would be very grateful.
(the Wireless adapter Iím using is a blueNEXT adapter unsure.gif had a look for info about it but no sign of any Linux drivers)

Thanks
Mick

Is this your adapter? linux drivers can be downloaded from this site.

Thanks! that's my adapter

Found the right driver, havenít got a clue what I am doing with it:(

sorry to bore you with my inexperience. If anyone would be willing to get me on my feet it would be greatly appreciated.

Iím having problems modifying the makefile, and when I run the make file in the consol I get an error message. How do you find what type of kernel you have as the file has code for 2 types (2.6 and 2.4)

its difficult to describe what i'm seeing in the consol as im costantly having to switch back to windows for the internet connection

if anyone is willing to have a look the driver can be found at
http://www.bluenext.co.uk/products/wifidangle.html

thanks in advance wink.gif
