I have a weird problem woth my dvd drive...

First off, I'm running Fedora Core 6 with KDE. The drive in question is a combination Cd-burner/DVD-rom.

The dirve works fine when reading cds, but when i insert a DVD nothinbg happens. The system does not recognize a new disc has been inserted, and I don't get the usual pop-up that i get with cds.

The weirdest thing is this...xine and kaffeine can access the discs. The problem is that both players play only the audio on the disc, with no video. I have all the dvd libraries installed.

The disc never shows up in the media or system folders, yet xine and kaffeiene are at least reading the audio parts of the discs.

Anyone have any idea what's wrong? A fresh install made no difference.
