Hi. I accidentally cut off the power of my harddisk. It works, but I cannot write anything on to it. I mean, when I create new file, foo.txt, for example and write something in it, like "bar", for example, it creates the file and everything looks OK. Well, then I reboot the machine and check the directory, where the file was written in. It does not exist.
When I boot the machine, EXT3 filesystemcheck says that it is unable to set superblock flags. I have tried to check the filesystem, but it does not do anything.

Please explain.

What linux distribution are you using? Is this the same drive where linux is installed?
What application are you using to write a file and to what directory? Are you a regular user or root?

If your super-block is damaged than you either need to run fsck to try and repair it or re-format the disk.
