Full Version: Problem with Samba

Hello to everybody!!

Before say something..I want to say sorry to everybody for my english!!ahahah but I'm from italy smile.gif

So, I got this problem...

I have a server with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 and Samba.
This Samba server is configured for be a fileserver sharing some folders and one impact printer for print some invoices.

Some days, when the clients (winzozz) try to open the data stored in the server, the linux server, not responding.
I must to restart the server everytimes when this problem happen.

I think the configuration files is right but I find some errors in the log of the server...

Hello,

why is device eth0 in promiscuous mode ???

You are not using samba on a bridge are you ?

can you please paste your smb.conf file ?
