Full Version: Help! Can't boot new Fedora Core 5 instalation
Linuxhelp > Support > Technical Support
Hi All.
I'm a noob, so sorry I'm dumb.
And BTW if my question has been answered before elsewhere can u point me in the right direction. Thanks.

I have a computer with 4 hard drives (all SCSI)
I have Win XP installed on the first hard-drive.
I've just installed Fedora Core 5 on the second HD.
The instal went well, and GRUB was supposed to have been installed as the boot-loader.
However, when I go to reboot or start-up the computer, I'm not given any option as to which OS I want to use, it just automatically starts up XP.
Can someone help me out?
I understand GRUB was installed in the MBR section of the first HD, but not 100% sure.
How do I access GRUB and configure it to allow a choice of OS at startup?
Not sure what other info you need.
The PC is a recycled Compaq Proliant server being used now as a desktop PC.
