I got linux to connect to the wireless router, but I am stumped as to how to get it to connect past the router. I know the router is just fine. When in windows everything works flawlessly.

I think it may be because ether my fridend set up a dns server on my machine or the computer is not reciving the dns ip's. Any way of disabling dns server an have it search for the real one?

what is the output from ifconfig? and from route? compare that to your access point's ip address.
it should say something like
and how does your wifi card get its ip address? through dhclient or manual?

questions questions, but my wifi works under linux
