Full Version: Hardrive mount , and aMSN probem

Hello, today i was bore so i decided to gave linux a second chance (hade alot of problem with previous install) so, all my Windows stuff is in a 250GB SATA2 hard drive, and linux is on an old 20GB IDE hard drive. I would like listen to music, but i cannot mount the hard drive (i right click desktop icon and hit mount) it tell me that the device isnt plugged :S

Second, i would like to talk with someone on msn, so i installed aMSN, but i cant download that TLS thing direclty from msn, and cant figure out how install it, someone can help me plz??

For messenger, install GAIM which should work "out of the box".

Open a console, and type "mount -f vfat /dev/xxx /mnt/windows"

Where xxx is the device name of your STAT disk (in particular the actual partion windows is on, probably sda1 or similar). Make sure that you have created the directory /mnt/windows first. If it is an ntfs drive, substitute "vfat" with "ntfs" but be aware that you wont have write access to the drive.
