ph34r.gif Im new to using apache web server. I have built a website and everything works except the photos. My website is in the /var/www/html directory as well as my pics but all i get are empty boxes with the little red x in the top corner. Does anyone have any sugestions? Thanks.

Try opening a photo directly. Remember that Linux is case-sensitive. If you can't open them directly then check that they are world-readable.

Ok. That allmost fixed the problem. My pics show up on the server but if you view it in the web you still get the boxes. Does anyone have any sugestions? If you need to view the source to help you the site is www.Nashvilletnconnect.com, or 65.80.176.206.

In that case your img tags point to the wrong file. They should point to the HTTP address of the image NOT the path to the file on your computer which is what you have currently.

Just an accessibility issue - (This is my job) - Your images should have an "alt" text which desribes what it is to users who are either using a text-only browser or who are using screen-readers (blind users etc.)
eg <img src="file.jpg" alt="A picture of a cat" />
