just figured something out.

if i loged in as root and tar -xf xxx.tar in the /etc
i get a directory called xxxx 1007:513 as permission. but there isnt a user 1007 nor a group 513?

this seems to happen since today any clue ?
Since we have no idea what the filename is, it's hard to tell you if this is unusual or not.

Omitting information like this is not helpful, and it's doubtful that you giving us the filenames could hurt.

A package you installed might be expecting a user you no longer have on your system.
nah never got such an user. but i think i figured it out.. if i just open the file via konq i see owned be Ben and stuff.. looks that is the problem, and its normal.
