Ok so, it's probably been asked, but looked around read some FAQ's and didn't find much help. I reinstalled windows xp, and its killed my grub loader, is there a way to get it back short of reinstalling linux? and how do I boot linux since windows has disabled grub?

If you have a CD based distro boot up and the select the rescue mode. There should be instructions on the bootup screen. Did you create a boot floppy disk if the installer had the option too?

If those options don't work then search for toms boot root disk.

Once booted run grub-install. I use lilo so I don't know where it is located.
