Hey everyone, Linux Newb here.

i have been trying this all day.

I downloaded the LINUX drivers for my Intel video card, but how do i install them?

I want my resolution to go higher than 1024X768, i know my card supports it, I was able to use it higher in XP.

need some help ASAP

In xorg.conf or XF86Config-4, you can use the intel drivers by setting your driver from what is probably 'vesa' to i810

Also, make sure your monitors horizontal/verticle rates are defined correctly in your X config.
Thanks, but can y0u give me a walkthrough on how to edit my xorg.conf file? smile.gif
Im really glad someone is taking the time to help. Thanks man.
I can look at my XORG file, it just wont let me save it

Section "Device"
 BoardName    "i845"
 BusID        "0:2:0"
 Driver       "i810"
 Identifier   "Device[0]"
 Screen       0
 VendorName   "Intel"
NEVERMIND! Just fixed it. thanks
