Hello,
I am very new to this Linux thing and I have a slight problem. I have a brand new Laptop - Gateway MX7525 - and I just put Linux on it. Unfortunately, I cannot turn on my wireless card for whatever reason...

My laptop came with a wireless card, it is a Broadcom 802.11g Wireless Network Adapter

When in Linux, I opened the command line and typed iwconfig, but I did not recieve any results, except for "lo wireless network not found" or something like that.

What my initial question is, is how can I turn my wireless network card on IN Linux?

Help would be greatly appreciated.

*UPDATE*

I have learned that my Broadcom 802.11g Wireless Network Adapter card is NOT compatible with Linux!
Could anyone propose a way around this, or a cheap BUT working with Linux wireless card adapter that I can buy for my laptop?
