Thank you for the help with my usb even though it did not work. Since i am new to the linux OS, unsure.gif maybe you could forward me to some information on how to use terminal program and the commands that must be typed in to do functions. biggrin.gif Thank you for all the help! cool.gif

Basic command line tools:

"ls" list the contents of a directory (defaults to the current, but a different directory can be specified after the command)

"cd /home/user/directory" cd chamges the current (working) directory. In this case, it changes it to /home/user/directory

"su -" gets root access ("su" normally works, but some ditros need the "-" too in order to give you full root access)

"unlink filename" deletes a file

"rm -Rf directory" removes a directory and all its subdirectories & contents without prompting

For more ifno on any command, just type "man command_name" to view the built-in system manual entry
