hi i am kinda new to liunx i just got video linux yesterday i tryed to play a few mp3 put see the thing with dell is you need to install a dirver for the sound to work and the dirver i had only works with windows so if anyone can help me

You havent given us enough information to help - For a start you didnt say which distribution you are using which is pretty much essential for any speicifc help.
