Full Version: Xorg for debian
Linuxhelp > Support > Technical Support
arggg last night I was working in debian and I did a kernel upgrade, then I proceeded to use the ati driver database so I could install my video driver. Now on restart X is screwed up bad Iand I don't know how to fix this. I has Xfree86 I was wondering if installing Xorg would fix the config file arggg please help
It might, but there is no promise that it will. When you install xorg it will do its best to guess what you need, but it doesn't always get it right. You're welcome to take a shot, but you're better off just biting the bullet and figuring out the options in the file and fix it youself.
Or run "xorgconfig" to regenerate your configuration (kill X first, or switch to a VT using ctrl-alt-F1)
