Okay this is really really important so please if you have any clue on how to do this respond ASAP.

Okay so I have a 200 GB driver IDE and it's running Suse 9.2 pro and WinXP.
I want to delete WinXP and in it's place put Ubuntu.
Does any one know of any thing that could help me do this.
I have no clue on how 2 linux distros can work in sync so any help is greatly appreaciated.

Just install it as if it was another OS. Give it new /var/ usr/ boot etc. partitions. Sharing /home is easy enough if it's a seperate partition, and Ubuntu should see a swap partition, and use it, so you wont need another one.
