I have sort of an odd problem, and I don't know if it's a hardware problem or a linux incompatibility of some sort. Here at work we have several Compaq SFF (small form factor) machines (EN 6300 Series), mainly of the Pentium II class. All they are really used for is a thin client. We have a Redhat 7.2 image that boots directly into a Citrix ICA client. When the system is rebooted (warm) and ETH0 is shutdown, it doesn't come back up. Cold booting resets the Ethernet interface of course. This doesn't happen on all machines, but I have a set of about 6 that have the same issue.

I have literally scoured the universe to find information on this, but to no avail. Has anyone run across anything like this before?
