Hi All,

I'm writing a bash script to create a temporary directory on another computer and then to copy files from my home directory onto the new temporary directory. I can't seem to use the "cp" command in a way that the shell recognizes. I'm reasonably certain that PATH is set correctly, but uncertain on everything else. Any help?

Thanks,
Vanessa

Here's the script:____________________________________________________________

#!/bin/bash

export PATH=/home/oklej/tinker/bin
export tinkerdir=/home/oklej/tinker
export tempdir=$TMPDIR # temp space on local compute node
export inputdir=/home/oklej/tinker # location of input files
export outputdir=/home/oklej/tinker/results # location to put results into

cp /inputdir/1UBQ.pdb /tempdir
cp /tinkerdir/params/amber99.prm /tempdir

cp /inputdir/1UBQ.pdb /tempdir
cp /tinkerdir/params/amber99.prm /tempdir

It would be similar to using $HOME i.e.
CP $inputdir/params/amber99.rpm $tempdir/
cp $tinkerdir/params/amber99.prm $tempdir/
