Full Version: Deleting Stats With Cron

Hello...hoping someone can help me get this newbie on track!

I am trying wanting to automatically delete stats files every month

Shooting for: Every month on the 28th at 2am

0 2 28 * * rm -rf /home/user/tmp/awstats.domainname.conf

Did I get it right? blink.gif

YOu could isntall webmin, (www.webmin.com) which makes setting up CRON jobs a breeze. No idea if you got it right though...

I guess you want the stats, but if not, just symlink /home/user/tmp/awstats.domainname.conf to /dev/null (provided its just a log, nothing bad will happen. If a program relies on it, then you might get problems)

That looks fine. No need for the -r though.
