Full Version: Searching For Existing Wireless Networks
Linuxhelp > Support > Technical Support
My wireless works flawlessly under SuSE 9.3. The only thing I can't do that I could do as a Windows user is search for existing wireless networks within range. I have to have a priori access to the network name, which is a bit of a pain in coffee shops. Is there a utility I can download to do this? Is this something I can do from the terminal?
Try "iwconfig wlan0 scan" or "iwconfig scan wlan0"

This should list all avalible wireless networks
