synaptic revolt
I want to install gentoo, but the file I grabbed isn't bootable. How do I make a cd linux bootable from windows? Nero's boot image is for dr-dos, iirc, which is of no help to me smile.gif
Normally what you have downloaded is a .iso file. This is a bootable image file.

Now Nero supports hunderds of image formats and .iso is one of them.just from the drop down list you will have to select .iso files and you cAN BURN them using nero only.
It's also worthy to note that a new experimental LiveCD for Gentoo 2005.1 has a graphical installer which is quite slick for version 0.1 . To check it out, go to your local gentoo mirror, and go into the experiemental branch and grab the 2005.1 livecd.
