hella_stupid
I decided to try the XFce desktop environment.
However, now that I want to go back to my Gnome I can't seem to find any way to do it.
I've looked through all the 'settings' features in XFce and all of them seem to me entirely within the environment. Furthermore, there is no Desktop preferences as in Gnome, which is how I changed the environment to begin with.
Please help me, I feel stupid as hell here.
Thx
Corey
If you're not using a login manager, then I think that your 'default desktop' is stored in your ~/.xinitrc .

If you want to switch to Gnome, then open this file, and remove xfce from there (if it's there), and replace it with:

QUOTE
exec gnome-session

If you wanted to use KDE, then you put in:

QUOTE
startkde

See if this solves your problem.
