Hello

I know this is a Linux site but now I need help with windows. I would goto a windows forum site but they rarely get to the point. I like to make custom Linux themes in fluxbox but now I want to do more.
I know in windows there is a Reg editor. I know the reg files control how a program works but what kind of power could I gain by editing them. I've looked at the reg files but I don't want to jump in and start editing them intil I know more Can some one here help me to figure out what these reg files do and how editing works with them, what could I gain by editing them.

Thanks DOCMUR

The Registry was supposed to be Microsofts method of organizing all of those INI files from the windows 3.1 days. So it includes all of the windows configuration settings as well as all of the configuration settings for applications that are installed. Your asking a very broad question since it all depends on the application.

My first tweak would be to see if I could increase networking speed like in the following link.
