Anyone have any experience getting a monitor to act as an extended desktop with a laptop under linux? (works default in windows).

I'm using ubuntu, their forums/irc have been no help.

I've double checked, and:

PCI:0:2:0
and
PCI:0:2:1

ARE the correct values, as far as xorg tells me (I can't find the command right now, sorry).

Besides that, I'm lost. ;^_^

Also, should (in BIOS) I have it automaticaly display in both LCD and CRT? Or should I have LCD default. I have tried both, but the CRT doesn't work then.

Here's my xorg.conf

CODE
# /etc/X11/xorg.conf (xorg X Window System server configuration file)
#
# This file was generated by dexconf, the Debian X Configuration tool, using
# values from the debconf database.
#
# Edit this file with caution, and see the /etc/X11/xorg.conf manual page.
# (Type "man /etc/X11/xorg.conf" at the shell prompt.)
#
# This file is automatically updated on xserver-xorg package upgrades *only*
# if it has not been modified since the last upgrade of the xserver-xorg
# package.
#
# If you have edited this file but would like it to be automatically updated
# again, run the following commands:
#
#   cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.custom
#   sudo sh -c 'md5sum /etc/X11/xorg.conf >/var/lib/xfree86/xorg.conf.md5sum'
#   sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

In your code there you don't have the bus IDs different.

Are you able to get each one working independetly?

Hey, sorry.

I forgot I set them to the same while fiddling around with the setup. wink.gif They didn't work when diffrent.

When, in BIOS, I don't set BOTH to be on, the CRT automaticly comes on and works (LCD Doesn't).

If I don't have the CRT Plugged in, and start it up, the LCD works fine.
