Linuxhelp > Support > Technical Support
Hey Guys
I have a problem. Im currently hosting 10 or more websites for a few friends of mine but am now planning on switching to Debian, I have been using slackware 10.1 now as a server. All of my home directory has been backed up and all my MYSQL database's have need exported with phpmyadmin and backed up as well. The only problem is I'm yet to learn how to back up the accual accounts. The last time I done a system upgrade I had to manually add the users back again. Can any of you help?
save your /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow file, and add the lines for your users in your new passwd and shadow file.
