Hi, im trying to get a linux version up and running off of a USB key drive. I have RH9 intsalled on it, and i can get all the USB modules loaded and the key drive recognized on boot. But when it goes to mount the root dir i get this error:

VFS: cannot open root device "sda2" or 08:02

I have looked around a lot on the net and all i cant find anything that helps. I have the drive partitioned with /dev/sda1 as boot and /dev/sda2 as the root.
Here is a copy of my linuxrc:

insmod -f modules/sd_mod.o
insmod -f modules/scsi_mod.o
insmod -f modules/usbcore.o
insmod -f modules/ehci-hcd
insmod -f modules/usb-uhci.o
insmod -f modules/uhci.o
insmod -f modules/usb-ohci.o
insmod -f modules/usb-storage.o
sleep 5
echo "Mounting /proc filesystem"
mount -t proc /proc /proc
echo "Mounting /dev/pts"
mount -t devpts /dev/pts /dev/pts

It gets thru all of that then hangs with the kernel panic.
Any ideas as to what im doing wrong or what i can do?
Thanks!

Figured it out. Was just loading the modules in the wrong order.
Incase any of you run into the problem here is the correct order.

insmod -f modules/usbcore.o
insmod -f modules/ehci-hcd
insmod -f modules/usb-uhci.o
insmod -f modules/uhci.o
insmod -f modules/usb-ohci.o
insmod -f modules/usb-storage.o
insmod -f modules/scsi_mod.o
insmod -f modules/sd_mod.o
