Linuxhelp > Support > Technical Support
I'm having a huge problem with intalling my linux. During my installation process an error uccurs saying that linux needs me to get and save a file, the file it tells me to get is the files that I have on my second disk. However, it won't let me eject the disk to put in my second one. Does anybody know what I am doing wrong?
So what distribution / version are you trying to install? Can you post the exact error message.
I'm trying to install Mandrake.
Ok so what version? 10?
Can you post the exact error message?

I have never seen this error message with Mandrake.
I'm installing mandrake linux version 10.1, the exact error message is:
An error ocurred
getAndSaveFile (/mnt/var/lib/urpmi/hdlist.installationCD2(x86)
(cdrom2).cz): No such file or directory.
Sounds like the CD is damaged. Did you check the MD5sums before you burnt it? Also, check the CD is clean, and free of scratches.
