Alright chaps. Just wantin to upgrade my Suse kernel to the latest version, but instead of letting Yast take care of it, I would like to have a go at doing it manually on suse. I have full instructions on performing this on Redhat(and have done this myself). Could you tell me how suse differs to redhat in kernel building and installation? Cheers

After you install the kernel source (install this from YAST), there should be a file in /usr/src/linux called README.SUSE . In this file is instructions on how to compile a custom kernel for yourself.
