I just installed Xandros 3.0 as dual boot on a Win XP PC. Installation went fine except I don't know how to install my printer. The dual boot PC has wired ethernet connection to my router and via DSL to internet, which works. I have a wireless-G access point connected to the router, and two other windows PCs with wireless-G cards. The linux PC sees both of them too so the networking is OK.

I have an HP 6840 printer with internal wireless-G. Although Xandros includes a driver for this printer, I don't know how to configure it. The add printer wizard gives me the choice of Windows network, Unix network or "other" network. Each of these asks for information I don't have. I know the printer's IP address and have accessed its internal web page with Firefox on the linux PC, and found the printer's hostname & bunch of other info. But I still can't find the right combination of entries to make the wizard happy.

I would be grateful for some help.
TIA

What info does it want?

I copped out. I connected the printer locally with USB. Xandros configured it painlessly and my Windows PCs can still print over the network. When I have some free time I'll work on printing from linux over my network.

thanks for your interest
