Full Version: Installing Php
Linuxhelp > Support > Technical Support
I've been trying to install PHP on my i386 (I think ) box running MEPIS (a version of Debian). No errors are produced by configure, make, or make install, but no is produced. My configure command is this:
./configure --enable-ftp --with-gd --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql --with-libxml-dir=/usr/local/libxml --with-jpeg-dir=/usr/local/libjpeg --with-png-dir=/usr/local/libpng --with-zlib-dir=/usr/local/zlib --disable-cgi --prefix=/usr/local/php

Does any of you know why this may be happening? PHP works when I run it in interactive mode.
I think you have to enable apxs mode (Apache DSO support) using --with-apxs2=/psth/to/apache/bin/apxs (or --with-apxs if you are not using apache2)

Thank you, DS2K3. I did that when configuring before, but had missed some options and forgot to include apxs this time. *Smacks self repeatedly*
