For some odd reason GTKpod (included in my Mandrake 10.1 distro), doesn't work, it doesn't see that the Ipod is connected and charging. Is there any other program I can install to manage my Ipod?
Thanx in advance
Jim
Its probably better to focus on why the iPod isn't working. Odds are, any other program you install will have the same problem. Whats the specific problem? Does it just not see it? Can you mount it manually? Those would be the questions I would look into.

The program does not see the ipod and I dunno how to mount it manually, that's basically the problem

Go to a console, type "su" to get root access and then run the command "tail -f /var/log/messages"

Then plug in the iPod, and see what it says biggrin.gif

If it gives an error, try unplugging any hubs you have connected the the system, then plugging htem in again, thats normally solves it for me

Good luck
