So I booted up into Knoppix.

I can't see data on hdb1 (hdd from failed NAS) through KDE. But I can through command line.

I have a hda1 on the knoppix pc AND a laptop connected through a switch.

SO, how can I get data off of hdb1 and onto either the laptop or hda1??

This forum doesn't move that fast, sorry, some times it take a little wile to get a response.

Ok, so exactly what do you want to do. I am a little confused. You have a computer, that has two hard drives, and you want to move data from the one hard drive to the other? From hdb to hda?

the command cp -r /mnt/hdb1/folder /mnt/hda1/folder will copy everything from the folder on hdb1 to a folder on hda1. If that answers your question. Thats probably the easiest way to do it.
