Hey, I am a linux-newbie, and have a big problem.
Ok, here is the deal,
I just installed rh 8, and used a dual boot, with win xp on hda, and linux on hdb(shared with files on xp, but partitioned off)
I try to get into xp, through Grub, and this is what it tells me:
Booting Win XP
rootnoverfity (hd0, 0)
chainloader +1
error 25: Disk Read Error
Hit any key to continue...
If anyone could help me asap, I have an essay to finish!!! :pinch:
Thanks,
Matter

see if you can use a windows boot disk to fdisk the master boot record
and that will get rid of grub
type the following at the a: prompt
fdisk /mbr
and you then should be able to boot to windows again
hope this helps
