Hi I installed Mandrake Linux on my machine today and I was wondering what X Windows do you suggest. I believe I currently have KDE but I have no clue on how to set it up or get it going. Here is my system.

athlon xp 1600+
256mb ram
ati 9700 pro
Hardrive 80gb
CD-rom/dvd
cdr-w

Please help me anything will do.

to start it type "startx" in case you didn't know that. Most likely it was installed and set up when you installed linux. If that doesn't work I dont know, I'm a noob too

I did try that but many errors came up, any suggestions?

Any specific errors? Are you able to get into the graphical login screen, or console login?
