I am trying to use MySQL for my addressbook in squirrelmail and am having trouble getting it to function the way I would like. I would like to have unmodifyable entries that are viewable by all users as well as the ability for users to add their own entries (viewable only to them).

So Far I am able to creat entries and see them as a specific user.

I am unable to have globally viewable, unmodifyable entries.

Any help would be much appreciated.

In looking at the options, there is no option for a global address book for squirrelmail that uses mysql.

There is a plugin that has a global address book here, but it is only for version 1.2.6. It might be able to be modified to work with version 1.4.3a

Here is another one for a newer version (1.40, 1.41).

I haven't tried either of these.
