I've got a PCI NIC - Broadcom NetXtreme 57x, Gigabit Controller - but it isn't recongnized as /dev/eth0. I have a Intel Modem as well.

The NIC is defined as IRQ 16 and Memory DFDF0000 - DFDFFFFF within Windows.

The lspci -vv reported the PCI NIC as IRQ 11 and memory DFDF0000. The modem was reported as IRQ 10.

Within dmesg I did get a message
"Redundant entry in serial pci_table (8086,1080,1028,1000)"

How can I get the NIC recongized so I can configure it?

Thx.

I think it is recognized .... have you downloaded and installed the drivers from here:

http://www.broadcom.com/drivers/driver-sla...iver=570x-Linux

Unzip the file and go to Server/Linux/Driver and see the README.TXT file.
