Please post your graphics hardware.
Not sure, but I'll try

It's a Gateway 2000 w/ onboard VGA
Pentium 233 processor
The monitor is from a Phoenix system, made by Fountain technologies
This is my first attempt to do more than basic internet. Don't know much about the insides. If you need more info, please tell me where to find it. unsure.gif
My memory is failing....
Reboot the PC and when the grub menu i.e assuming the default boot loader, press the Esc key. Now you should see a command prompt. Type in linux single.

What I am looking for is the graphics chipset. The command lspci should provide that info.
Doesn't recognize command, but when it unzips, it says

agpgart:unsupported intel(device ID 7100)

does that help?
setup has PCI Clocks at 64, and PCI VGA Pallette Snoop is enabled sad.gif
